Looking for pet-friendly 55+ in Boynton Beach, Delray Beach and Lake Worth, Florida? Consider the Valencias, as they’re locally known. These 55+ communities are upscale and pet friendly. There are currently eight completed Valencia communities with a new one just set to begin.
Are you a pet lover? Finding communities that take pets in south Florida can be challenging. My dogs go where I go; no ifs, ands or buts (pun intended) about it. They’re part of the family, and we like it that way. If I cannot go to a particular community because of their pet restrictions, then I’ll choose another. But that’s me. Others may feel differently, and I absolutely respect them, as well.
Pet Restrictions vary in the Valencias. You’re thinking, how can that be? Especially if they were all built practically the same? Well, it’s true! After the homeowners took over from the builder, some associations changed their pet restrictions. Yes, they did. A word of caution: Always remember to check the pet restrictions for the specific community you’re interested in!
These communities, pet friendly 55+ in Boynton Beach, Delray Beach and Lake Worth, are not our parents’ senior communities of yesteryear. These communities were built with baby boomers and an active lifestyle in mind. This is upscale 55+ living in southern Palm Beach County where the sun shines all year long.
Comprised of single family homes in guard-gated communities with grand clubhouses, state-of-the-art fitness centers, card rooms, arts and crafts, tennis, pickle ball, resort-style pools, social halls with entertainment, beautiful walking paths (to walk the dogs or just to walk,) cafes and tons of activities and clubs to keep you busy. Shall I continue? You get the idea.
The Valencias in Boynton Beach, Delray and Lake Worth are modeled after country clubs with NO MANDATORY EQUITY. What that means: Just pay your monthly HOA fee, and there is no charge for using their 5-star clubhouses. Of course, there may be a charge for a show, holiday dinner or private fitness class, that type of thing. But, as a result of removing golf courses from communities, fees went down dramatically. And everyone was happy. However, if you’re a golfer, no need to worry. There are several golf courses located nearby.
These communities, pet friendly 55+ in Boynton Beach, Delray Beach and Lake Worth, are all similarly themed throughout. As a result, whether you move to Valencia Isles, Valencia Pointe, Valencia Cove or any of the other Valencias, they will all be similar in nature as to lay out, amenities and activities. Why mess with a winning formula?
Located within proximity (depending on which Valencia – some will be closer than others) of shopping, medical facilities, pharmacies, dry cleaners, restaurants, banks, houses of worship and beaches. Also conveniently located midway between Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach International Airports, as well as I-95 and the Florida Turnpike for ease of travel.

Thinking about buying or selling a home in Valencia? I can help.
Thinking of going direct to the builder? Think again! Don’t go it alone – you need someone on your side and, besides, you won’t save any money by going to the builder. Trust me on this. Please take a few moments and read 5 Reasons You Need a Realtor When Buying a New Build. Although the author is not in Boynton Beach, the same holds true right here with New Construction. Don’t be fooled.
