Basic Park Information for the Spanish River Dog Beach
Here are the basics on bringing your dog to the Spanish River Dog Beach:
- Dogs can run off-leash in the designated dog beach area, but not in other areas of the park.
- You must bring a device to properly dispose of your dog’s business (like a scooper or even personal doggie bags).
- You can’t let your dog dig in the sand.
- Dogs are only allowed between Tower 18 and Tower 20 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to sunset. (During daylight savings time, dogs are only permitted from 5 p.m. to sunset.)
- You have to keep your permit on you at all times. You need one permit per dog, and you can only have two dogs per person.
As with any other doggie-friendly space in Boca Raton, you’re responsible for (and liable for) your dog’s behavior at the Spanish River Dog Beach. If your dog doesn’t stick to the rules – or if you don’t – you may be asked to leave.
